The Ericsson S400 is a compact, semi‑rugged IoT router designed for enterprise and industrial deployments that require reliable, secure connectivity. It integrates an embedded LTE Cat‑6 modem with dual‑SIM capability, delivering up to 300 Mbps downstream and 95 Mbps firewall throughput, while supporting private 4G LTE (CBRS) and major public safety networks such as FirstNet and Verizon Frontline. Connectivity is extended through a single‑radio, dual‑band Wi‑Fi 5 (2.4 GHz/5 GHz) interface and a Gigabit Ethernet port that can be switched between LAN and WAN, plus two Fast Ethernet ports on an optional expansion module. The router includes PoE, a GNSS passive receiver for asset tracking, and configurable GPIO for custom IoT applications. All security policies are managed centrally via Ericsson NetCloud Manager with Secure Connect SASE, providing zero‑trust, VPN tunnelling (up to five tunnels) and cloud‑based updates. The device operates from –20 °C to 60 °C, making it suitable for harsh environments, and ships with an AC power supply and SMA antenna connectors for rapid deployment.
